Barcelona chief Deco has laid out their plans for Vitor Roque.

Roque is due to join Barca in January from Athletico Paranaense.

Deco told Lance!: "Vítor's idea is a bit of restructuring. He is a young player, in whom we believe a lot. We know that we have one of the best centre forwards in the world, which is Robert Lewandowski, but the time will come when we will need someone for that position.

"For Vitor, being able to join Barcelona with a reference like Lewandowski would be a fantastic learning experience for him. Vitor is one of those players in whom we believe and for whom we bet a lot in the future. We are trying to make this happen as soon as possible.

"Unfortunately he had this injury, but the idea is for him to come as soon as possible."
