Barcelona chief Mateu Alemany has joked with the media about the future of Ousmane Dembele.

Off contract in June, Dembele has proved himself one of Barca's best players since the arrival of coach Xavi.

However, talks over a new deal with Dembele's agent Moussa Sissoko have continued to stumble.

Alemany told El Chiringuito: "Will Ousmane Dembele stay? It's up to the press to say it, I don't know..."

Sissoko is expected to return to Spain in the coming days to continue negotiations with Barca officials.
