Barcelona have decided to make a serious play to close an agreement for Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen.
Barca's board had previously intended to only move for Ter Stegen once Victor Valdes had announced his next destination. But with their wantaway No1 dragging his heels, Barca have decided to bring forward their plans to sign and announce a deal for Ter Stegen, says El Mundo Deportivo.
The young German was becoming frustrated at the delays and had made it clear to Barca he would consider other offers if the situation was allowed to drag on.
Barca will now enter talks with Gladbach about a fee for Ter Stegen, who has already given his approval to the move.
