Barcelona are battling to clear Martin Braithwaite off the books.
Sport says despite the number of transfers carried out, the club aim for three more additions and four or five more departures. The priority exits are Samuel Umtiti and Braithwaite, but both cases have been stuck for several weeks and the threat of having to pay for their termination is very real.
The club are optimistic about the Frenchman, who is willing to leave, but Braithwaite remains uncompromising.
For Braithwaite, the request of the Danish striker and his entourage is clear, he wants to stay and will only leave if he is sacked through a contract termination. Barça have been on the case for some time and are clear that the only way forward is a termination, although it will leave a bad taste.
They will wait to see if Braithwaite eventually lowers his stance and helps Barça, although the player is angry and it is unlikely.
