Barcelona and Ousmane Dembele's camp remain in contact as his contract enters it's final month.

Sport says the player's agent, Moussa Sissoko, met with Barça's sporting director Mateu Alemany on Monday and the door remains open.

A contract extension is still difficult, though. Small details are being fixed, but there are still significant gaps. The most important issues are still frozen and not advancing.

Barça will not massively differ from their proposal by making a completely new offer and the only solution is tweaks to the current terms on the table.

That's because unless Barça activate some of the financial deals they are working on to clean up the club's finances, they cannot do much more financially.

For now, they have agreed to remain in contact in the coming days to try and find a solution.
