The patience of Liverpool players is wearing thin when it comes to striker Mario Balotelli's antics.
The People says Brendan Rodgers was forced to tell wacky Italian striker Balotelli to get himself to bed just hours before a Champions League game in Switzerland.
The hotel incident is just one of a string of episodes that have left Balotelli's days at Liverpool numbered - with the star finally driving Kop boss Rodgers close to complete distraction.
Balotelli has made it increasingly difficult for Rodgers to keep a balance of fairness within his squad.
And that was never more evident than in Liverpool's luxury Swiss hotel the night before they played Basel in the Champions League in October.
According to informed club sources, Balotelli welcomed an entourage of Italian friends, who had driven across the border to link up with their pal.
Balotelli, who was not drinking, sat in the hotel lounge laughing and chatting with his friends. But while other team-mates gradually drifted off to bed around 10pm the striker showed no signs of calling it a night.
Rodgers was alerted by other staff members and had words with Balotelli not to be up too much longer as the clock ticked towards midnight.
A source revealed: "Brendan Rodgers had to come and tell Mario not to stay up too long. He went over, tapped his watch and said, 'Not much longer Mario'.
"But he was having fun with his friends and didn't look about to curtail his night."
