Davide Ballardini has ruled out a return to Cagliari.

Cagliari president Massimo Cellino is seeking a new coach after the sacking of Massimiliano Allegri.

Ballardini told TMW: "I left on good terms with Cellino, but I don't believe something of this nature can happen.

"I will always be grateful to the club and to the fans, but this ends here."
