Michael Ballack is set for final transfer talks with Chelsea as his career at the club seems to bet at its end.

The 33-year old, who will be sidelined for the World Cup after injuring his ankle in the FA Cup final against Portsmouth, has only been offered a one-year deal by the Blues but is keen for more.

The German midfielder wants at least a two-year deal but it is believed he may settle for a one-year contract with the option of a further 12 months based on performance.
