Former Chelsea star Michael Ballack is backing his old club to build on last season's title challenge.
Ballack believes Chelsea can learn from their mistakes this season after dropping points against weaker opposition and falling short in the title race.
He told the London Evening Standard: "It was quite close at the end for Chelsea. It was their own fault in the end as they dropped points against weaker teams. Its always difficult with Champions League games and league games - you think three points are safe and then you lose some concentration, you drop points and then you are really disappointed. It's something that all the big teams have to deal with."
