Real Madrid youngster Javier Balboa is delighted with the chances he's had in preseason.

The midfielder has impressed in recent weeks and said: "I am happy enough with my form in games and although I have not spoken with the trainer, I believe that he also has liked what I have contributed. I hope to continue to impress Bernd Schuster."

On the arrivals of midfield rivals Wesley Sneijder and Royston Drenthe, Balboa added: "The new signings will be very good for the team. We are going to have a season with many games and I can adapt to many positions. I used last season to build my experience and I feel prepared enough to face this season. I believe that I can play at a high level."
