Azpilicueta makes Chelsea bow but reserves go down to Charlton

Chelsea signing Cesar Azpilicueta has made his debut for the club but was unable to prevent the reserve team losing to Charlton Athletic.

The 23-year old right-back, who joined from Marseille in the summer transfer window, played a full 90 minutes for the Blues twos who lost 3-2 to the Addicks.

Azpilicueta was joined by experienced teammates Paulo Ferreira and Ross Turnbull in the Blues' U21s line-up who were served by goals from Adam Phillip and Billy Clifford but in the end could not keep out the Charlton attack.
