AZ's Altidore cleared of any serious injury

AZ Alkmaar striker Jozy Altidore has been cleared of any serious injuries to his head following a collision last week.

The USA international fell into a barrier during his side's Dutch Eredvisie meeting with NEC Nijmegen last Wednesday after being bumped by defender Pavel Cmovs.

It was reported that Altidore was knocked unconscious with fears he had sustained head injuries but he has since been cleared of that and should be available for upcoming internationals for his country.

Jurgen Klinsmann's US team meet Scotland on May 26, Brazil on May 30 and Canada on June 3 in the lead-up to 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Antigua and Barbuda on June 8 and Guatemala on June 12.
