Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas says he expects Heurelho Gomes to stay.

AVB is counting on Gomes, Carlo Cudicini and No1 Brad Friedel for the new season.

"Well we have three top goalkeepers competing for the number one spot. It is a spot that normally doesn't rotate as much as the other ones, it's maybe the best difficult one to get into. Brad had a tremendous season last year, the quality between the two is immense," he said.

"We are not sure yet, what we are going to do on that position. We are not looking to bring further goalkeepers into our club. But, we are looking to find the best solution to create a competitive environment. Obviously, I am counting on the three of them to compete at this moment for me to make the best decision."
