AUXERRE: AC Milan went through to the second phase of the Champions League with a 2-0 win over AJ Auxerre in an uninspiring match in France.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic finally got things started in the 65th minute when he superbly struck from outside the area to spark up proceedings which was much-needed.

Milan then grabbed a second through Ronaldinho who finished with a neat curler from a Robinho pass in the 90th minute to wrap up the points for Milan.
