Australia's Osieck expects Wilkshire and Carney to be right for quarter-final

Australia coach Holger Osieck is confident that injured duo Luke Wilkshire and David Carney will be fit for this weekend's Asian Cup quarter-final. Wilkshire hurt his groin whilst Carney popped a shoulder in the second group stage match against South Korea but the German tactician feels they will both be fine to take on reigning champions Iraq on Saturday afternoon (Sunday morning AEDT).

"I'm pretty sure (they will be available)," Osieck said.

"That's why I want them in training ... to see if they are already catching up and it looks good."

In other Socceroos injury news, midfielder Jason Culina looks likely to miss with a knee problem whilst star forward Tim Cahill is expected to recover from a corked thigh and ankle soreness.
