Australia lose Kewell, Kennedy and Beauchamp for friendlies

Harry Kewell, Josh Kennedy and Michael Beauchamp have all been forced out of upcoming friendlies against Switzerland and Poland. The trio are no longer required in Holger Osieck's first Socceroos camp after the German tactician consulted with the clubs of the players.

Galatasaray's Kewell has a groin problem, Nagoya Grampus' Kennedy has a back injury and Melbourne Heart's Beauchamp is out with an ankle injury.

Former Wellington Phoenix defender Jon McKain, now with Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, and ex-Brisbane Roar young gun Tommy Oar, currently with Dutch club FC Utrecht, have been added to the squad.

The Socceroos will link up in St Gallen today for their first training session under Osieck ahead of Friday's clash with Switzerland and Tuesday's meeting with Poland in Krakow.
