Australia national team manager Holger Osieck has heaped praise on two of his young players following the win over Wales on Wednesday night.
Urawa Reds defender Matthew Spiranovic did a great job in central defence alongside captain Lucas Neill whilst Middlesbrough's Rhys Williams slotted nicely into midfield after replacing Brett Emerton at half-time and Osieck says both 23-year olds are players for the future.
"I liked what I saw from him (Spiranovic). He is one of the younger boys in the team and he is one for the future. I think that he needs these kinds of games to progress," he said.
"The same goes for Rhys Williams. He is an excellent player, very composed, he has good vision, has good interaction with team-mates and has good tactical awareness. I think that he is another one for the future."
