The Australian national team played out a goalless draw with Serbia at Melbourne's Etihad Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The result stretched the Socceroos' unbeaten run on home soil to 10 matches thanks to an impressive display from Reading goalkeeper Adam Federici who produced a string of top saves late in the game.
Australia had chances of their own in front of a crowd of more than 28,000 but were unable to beat Serbian keeper Damir Kahriman.
Brett Holman and Federici were the Socceroos' best performers on the night whilst Archie Thompson looked comfortable in his international return before being subbed for Melbourne Victory mate Robbie Kruse just after the half-hour mark.
