Charlie Austin has welcomed Rio Ferdinand to QPR.
The former Manchester United defender signed for the Rs last week.
QPR striker Austin said: "I will treat him just the same as everyone else. We are work colleagues. I know what he is capable of and what he has done. Any experience he can give me is going to be a great help. I'm sure Rio will be fine.
"We do a lot of bonding here to be honest. When you're in pre-season it is hard to get away all day. Even when the season is on we do stuff together.
"If you look at what has gone on over the last six months we are as close as ever. We are a close-knit group, we are close on and off the pitch and I think this is going to be a good year for us."
