Promising Australian defender Ryan McGowan is in line for his first Scottish Premier League start when Heart of Midlothian host reigning champions Rangers this weekend.
The 21-year old defender, who can also push forward into midfield, is getting closer and closer to a start under manager Jim Jefferies and he will be hoping his name is on the starting eleven list for their biggest clash of the season thus far.
McGowan has been on the bench for all six Hearts matches this term, coming on as a late sub in the 4-0 win over Hamilton on the second weekend, before grabbing seven minutes in the 3-0 loss to Celtic on September 11 and may get his big opportunity against Rangers when they travel to Tynecastle Stadium on Saturday.
