Christian Atsu is hoping for a start in Everton's Europa League tie with Young Boys.

The on-loan Chelsea winger impressed in their 2-2 draw with Leicester City.

"I want to help my team to win and in such situations I have to do my best," Atsu told evertontv. "When I got on the pitch I wanted to do something to make the fans happy. It's true that I am very happy to have assisted with the goal.

"It's always a pleasure to play in front of Everton fans. I am looking forward to the next game and I hope we will make them happy this time around.

"I am always training to start games. I don't know what the gaffer will say but I am working hard and we will see what will happen [on Thursday]."
