Atletico Madrid have announced the signing of Club America striker Raul Jimenez.
The Mexico international joins Atletico on a six-year deal and leaves America for a fee of €11 million.
The transfer had been held up over Jimenez's signing-on fee, but that was settled yesterday with €500,000 being shared between the player and America.
With América, the 23-year-old started out as an out-and-out striker but in recent years he has dropped back, playing deeper in an auxiliary role, playing off centre-forward Oribe 'Cepillo' Peralta.
He also collected the gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics.
