Atletico Madrid's Forlan hints at Seattle Sounders move

Atletico Madrid star Diego Forlan has hinted at a possible move to MLS club Seattle Sounders. In an interview on ESPN Deportes, the Uruguay international admitted that playing in the USA appealed to him and indicated that the Sounders were one team who are showing interest.

When interviewer Jorge Ramos asked the 2010 World Cup Golden Ball winner where his future lied, Forlan replied with the following.

"You know, the prospect of playing in the United States motivates me. I'm not talking about retiring there, but I would like to play there," he said.

"Sincerely, it's a very nice country, a good league, and it motivates me a lot. If some day we receive a good offer I would go there. I see the US as a very good option."

Other reports say that Forlan could land at Qwest Field to link up with Uruguay teammate Alvaro Fernandez who joined the Sounders in July last year.
