Spartak Moscow coach Michael Laudrup is being linked with Javier Aguirre's job at Atletico Madrid.

Sport says Atletico president Enrique Cerezo has been laying the groundwork for bringing the Dane back to Spain in the event results do not improve in the coming weeks.

Indeed, Aguirre has only one supporter on the Atletico board, Miguel Angel Gil Marin, which has led Cerezo to testing the water with Laudrup.
