Atletico Madrid have opened talks with Arsenal contract rebel Mesut Ozil.
Germany international Ozil is off contract at the end of this season and little headway is being made over a new agreement.
The Sun says Atletico boss Diego Simeone is looking to take advantage of the uncertaincy at the Emirates by offering Ozil a deal of around £200,000-a-week, with a huge signing on fee as free agent at the end of the season.
However, Ozil and his representatives reportedly asked Arsenal for a whopping £330,000-a-week deal, but with no takers among Europe's elite, he will have to climbdown from those numbers if he is serious about staying at the club or moving back to Spain.
It's suggested Ozil is being viewed by Atletico as a replacement for Saul Niguez, who is interesting Jose Mourinho's Manchester United.
