Atletico Madrid have made a stunning move for Arsenal attacker Santi Cazorla.

The Daily Mail says Atletico chief executive Miguel Angel Gil Marin was in London on Tuesday night trying to persuade Arsenal to part with the 28-year-old.

Atletico have money to spend after selling Radamel Falcao to AS Monaco for £51million and think a £17.5million offer will tempt Arsene Wenger into selling.

Marin was hoping to speak to Dick Law, the Arsenal executive who deals with transfers and who is also not in the Far East with the squad.
