Republic of Ireland international Matt Doherty is heading back to England to resurrect his career.

Doherty was at Atletico Madrid on a short term deal, but appears to not have settled in Spain.

Per the Sunday World, Doherty will sign for his old club Wolves to once again play in the Premier League.

Ever since he left Wolves for Tottenham, Doherty has struggled to replicate his old form.

The 31-year-old will hope that a return to familiar surroundings will bring out his best form.

Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui likely sees Doherty as a rotation option within his squad.
