Kieran Trippier is back for Atletico Madrid to face Chelsea tomorrow night.
The England international has served his betting ban, driven by the English FA, and is set to start for Atletico in the second-leg of their Champions League round 16 tie.
AS says inside Atletico, the punishment was seen as a way to favour the interests of Chelsea, since over the timespan of the suspension there were no England internationals and there was the first leg of the Champions League against the London team.
Trippier has since returned to action in the LaLiga, playing three games ahead of the Champions League second-leg showdown at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night. Atletico coach Diego Simeone is expected to hand Trippier a starting a place. So far this season, Trippier has managed 23 appearances for five assists.
Chelsea hold a 1-0 lead from the first-leg, with Olivier Giroud having scored late into the game staged in Bucharest, Romania.
