Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is believed to be confident in luring Santi Cazorla to the club this summer.
Arsenal attacking midfielder Cazorla is being linked with a potential Emirates Stadium exit following the recent arrival of Alexis Sanchez which could see the Gunners make the Spaniard available.
The Daily Mail suggests that Simeone, who has long admired the former Villarreal and Malaga star, is hopeful that Arsene Wenger will allow Cazorla to leave now that he has the likes of Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott and Lukas Podolski as his attacking midfield options.
Reports suggest that Cazorla, who signed a 12-month contract extension earlier this year, could be made available for around £15million.
