Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone was delighted with their Copa del Rey win at Levante.

A 2-0 win last night saw Atletico reach the quarterfinals.

Simeone said, "The first half was not good, with many inaccuracies, rushed... Levante did a good job under pressure, they did not allow us to progress, we did not play and as a team we were showing a face that was not good.

"At halftime we spoke calmly, because they are a group of boys who are doing their best, we are playing every three days and we talk about playing ball, because they play football well and when they associate and have peace of mind we are a good team.

"We do not consider them a Segunda Division team, it is in an ideal position, it has gone 16 games without losing, today it had to lose, but it is a team that plays well, it has many replacements in important areas.

"This field has cost a lot and today we had a bad time in the first half. In the second they also tried, but we defended well."
