Atletico Madrid coach Javier Aguirre took full responsibility for last night's disappointing 3-1 defeat at Osasuna.

Atletico were undone by a double from Osasuna's on-loan Arsenal striker Carlos Vela and Aguirre said: "The person in charge of this team is me and I am fully responsible for tonight.

"Yes, I am worried. We have suffered three very painful defeats and have lost the confidence that we had.

"Now our place in the top four is in jeopardy.

"I've already said that we must reflect a lot on what has happened if we want to hold the Champions League position. We repeated the errors that we did against Athletic Bilbao."
