Atletico Madrid are reportedly showing considerable interest in Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke.
Los Rojiblancos are expecting plenty of offers to flood in for star striker Diego Costa this January and are believed to have targeted Belgian Benteke in case they lose the Brazilian.
Benteke has struggled so far in the 2013/14 campaign following a brilliant debut season in English football when scoring 19 goals as Villa voided relegation.
The Daily Mail suggests that Atletico could go after the former Genk ace if Costa departs the Estadio Vicente Calderon for around £32million this winter.
