Simone Padoin is pleased to have swapped Atalanta for Juventus.

Padoin was picked up on the final day of the winter transfer window as a midfield reinforcement for the title-chasing Bianconeri.

"[The move] was a wonderful surprise, unexpected until the last second," the €5m signing told Juventus Channel.

"As soon as I heard that Juventus were interested in me, I put pressure on the management at Atalanta to let me go.

"Going to Juventus was a unique and very important opportunity. Here the philosophy is geared towards winning and I will put all my efforts in to contribute to their success, more so for the fact that I have not won anything yet."
