James Troisi has begun his loan spell with Melbourne Victory in fine form but feels he has even more to offer once he reaches peak fitness.
The 25-year old attacking midfielder, who is on a one-year deal from Italian club Atalanta (with Juventus also owning his rights), has netted four goals in four A-League outings since his arrival in Melbourne but is confident he will be able to provide more scoring threat for the Victory.
"I missed a lot of football last season and didn't have much of a pre-season so it's been a period of slowly getting back to match fitness and match sharpness," said Troisi.
"It's getting better game by game and hopefully I am not far away now from being where I want to be.
"It's been a good start for me. I am scoring goals and making chances. I am enjoying playing in a No.10 role for Victory.
"It's ideally where I want to be on the field rather than operating as a wide player and it's where I think I can be most effective.
"I can also play through balls and I can drop deep and then play behind the striker, so it's a great position for me.
"Right now my confidence is high. I have taken my goals well and I feel there should be more to come."
