Atalanta midfielder Remo Freuler admits Switzerland teammate Granit Xhaka has asked him about Italy.

Arsenal midfielder Xhaka is the subject of intense interest from Roma.

“Earlier he asked me how the roads in Italy are," Freuler told Corriere dello Sport.

Switzerland meet Italy in the Euros later this week.

“We have to play our own game," Freuler said. “We must try to press Italy to create some problems in defence.

“If we are too deep, as Turkey played, everything becomes easier. We have to dribble well, be compact and be able to finish and, hopefully, score."
