Atalanta have informed Newcastle United they're prepared to sell Duvan Zapata this month.

TMW says Zapata held talks with Newcastle intermediaries last week and they made an offer of a loan to June with an obligatory permanent option to be triggered should they stay up.

However, the proposal was rejected by Atalanta with 'disdain;.

But nothing has been shut down and instead La Dea will sell if Newcastle put €40m cash on the table.

Zapata has also been tabled a deal worth €6.5m-a-year to 2025 - which is worth over double what he currently earns with Atalanta.
