Atalanta coach Stefano Colantuono has revealed Edinson Cavani almost signed for West Ham United.
The Napoli star worked with Colantuono at Palermo.
The experienced coach revealed: "When I arrived at Palermo, El Matador was ready to go to West Ham as he wanted to experience the Premier League. I stopped that.
"I've met few strikers with his qualities and with his desire. Every Friday, for example, he remained on the field at the end of training to perfect his skills."
