Atalanta chief Marino: AC Milan moved quicker for Bonaventura than Inter

Atalanta director Pierpaolo Marino admits Giacomo Bonaventura's departure to AC Milan was short and sharp.

The winger joined AC Milan in the final minutes of the summer market.

"Bonaventura had been tracked by Inter over the last few days, but then, in the afternoon, the lad seemed undecided," he told reporters.

"Then, at about 19.30 we knew that a move was off so we forgot about it. But after Biabiany's move to Milan fell through, we received a phone call from Milan.

"Inzaghi spoke to Galliani, and then within five minutes we had come to an agreement.

"We have great respect for everyone at Milan, and we're glad we could come to such a quick and mutually beneficial deal."
