Aston Villa chief executive Tom Fox has confirmed that the club will offer Christian Benteke a brand new contract.
The Belgian striker is the subject of interest from a number of Premier League clubs including Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool but Villa are determined to keep him in the West Midlands.
24-year old Benteke, who has a release clause of £32.5million, is contracted at Villa Park until the summer of 2017 but Fox insists that there will be a new and improved deal in front of him in the not too distant future.
"There has been a lot of speculation and I'm not going to contribute to it or play any of our transfer strategy out in the press," said Fox.
"But we will offer Christian Benteke a new deal this summer, of course we will."
