Manchester United are ready to hand Axel Tuanzebe a new contract.

Sky Sports says United are on the verge of agreeing a one-year contract extension with Tuanzebe.

Negotiations are at a very advanced stage and Tuanzebe, 23, is expected to join Aston Villa on a season-long loan after signing on the dotted line.

The defender's new deal will keep him at Old Trafford until 2023 with the option to extend for another year.

Newcastle United have also been linked with Tuanzebe this week.
