Aston Villa are ready to step up their interest in Tyrone Mings after the Bournemouth defender returned from holiday.

The Birmingham Mail says Villa will look to wrap a deal for Mings as soon as possible.

The 26-year-old was instrumental in Villa's promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.

The Midlands club are yet to meet the Cherries valuation of Mings, but remain confident they can complete the transfer.
