Christian Benteke has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for April.
The Belgian striker scored five goals in four league outings during the fourth month of 2015 to scoop the prize ahead of Chelsea captain John Terry and much-improved Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera.
Also nominated for the April award were Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and Foxes striker Jamie Vardy as well as Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam.
The former Genk ace netted in the 3-1 loss to United, produced a hat-trick in the 3-3 draw with QPR and the only goal in the 1-0 win at Tottenham.
Benteke became the first Villa player to win the monthly award since now-United winger Ashley Young's triumph in December 2008.
