Aston Villa are interested in former Sporting Lisbon attacker Yannick Djalo.

A Bola says Villa are keen to revive their push for Djalo, who is available after a complicated move to Nice fell through earlier this season.

Villa aren't alone in their interest for Djalo, with several English clubs making contact with Sporting about the Portugal international's availability ahead of the January market.

Djalo can play as a striker and on the flank and would arrive at Villa Park to help overcome the losses of Stewart Downing and Ashley Young in the summer.
