Randy Lerner made Aston Villa's FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal yesterday.
The Mail on Sunday says Lerner made the journey from his home in Long Island, New York to watch the club he owns in person for a rare occasion, and probably the last.
Lerner sat next to the Duke of Cambridge Prince William in the Royal Box.
A consortium led by Paul Smith, the former Chelsea chief executive, with Tony Adams involved is looking to raise cash to bid for Villa this summer.
