Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard is delighted with Jacob Ramsey's new deal.

The young midfielder inked terms this week to 2027.

Gerrard said, "He's desperate to be a part of this journey and desperate to represent his hometown club.

"I can see it in his eyes how happy he is.

“I'm sure the fans are really happy, I know JJ and his family are. It's a fantastic piece of news for everyone."
