Aston Villa manager Unai Emery claims he has the utmost respect for striker Danny Ings.

Villa have allowed the forward to depart for West Ham United today.

Ings was not in favor at Villa Park, and will instead help David Moyes' struggling team try to avoid relegation.

“He will sign with West Ham. His commitment was amazing here, with his teammates and he helped to better our performance," Emery stated in a press conference.

“I decided to let him go because I think for him it was a very good offer, for the club as well."
