Aston Villa star Matt Targett has revealed he "hopes" to stay at Newcastle United beyond this season.
Target is on loan at the Magpies, but Chronicle Live states that the club does have a £15 million purchase option within that loan agreement.
Ultimately, Targett would have to agree to sign permanently, and Newcastle must deem if he is worth such a fee.
When asked about his future, Targett told Chronicle Live: "I'm sure and hope they can sort something out for me.
"For sure it (decision time) is coming closer so at the moment I am really enjoying my time here and loving playing in front of the Geordie fans here."
