Olympique Marseille winger Hatem Ben Arfa is in the sights of Aston Villa.
The Mirror says Villa are preparing for life without playmaker James Milner by enquiring with Marseille over the availability of Ben Arfa.
The former French youth international is seen by O'Neill as a replacement for the Manchester City bound Milner and it is believed that a fee of around £12m will be enough to secure the former Lyon man's signature.
Ben Arfa is of Tunisian descent and has been capped by Les Bleus 7 times. The winger has been described as one of the most talented players in France but is regularly criticised by the French media for his lack of discipline.
