Aston Villa are planning to make a move for Feyenoord star Jordy Clasie.

With Aston Villa missing out on the permanent signing of Tom Cleverley, manager Tim Sherwood is currently on the lookout for a new midfielder.

According to recent reports from the Telegraph, it has now been revealed that the Villa boss is eyeing a swoop for Holland international Clasie.

It is reported that Villa are planning to make a £7million bid but they are expected to receive competition from the likes of Southampton and Newcastle United.
