Aston Villa goalkeeper Tom Heaton has confirmed talks about a training return this week.

While a host of clubs have shut their stadiums and training grounds, Heaton has confirmed that Dean Smith's squad could be back training as a group in the coming days.

“I think there is probably talk of us getting back in, in a week or so in some way shape or form. But I'm not sure we will be training as a team," Heaton told BBC Radio 5 Live on Saturday afternoon.

“Individually or small groups I think the plan is, and done under strict guidelines."
